Every time you make any spicy dishes, the right cooling company for it would be raita. This raita i made with pomegranate and it’s certainly one of my fav.

I added some roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, black salt within the yogurt to provide a diff flavour and taste to this.

Ingredients for Pomegranate Raita

  • Pomegranate – 1 cup seeds
  • Yogurt / Curd- 2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar -1  tsp
  • Chaat Masala Powder – 1 tsp or to taste
  • Black Salt – ½ tsp or to taste
  • Chilli Powder – ½ tsp
  • Roasted Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves / Cilantro – 4 tbsp finely chopped

The way to make Pomegranate Raita

  1. Take yogurt in a bowl, beat it well with a whisk till smooth.
  2. Add all ingredients and blend well.
  3. Taste and adjust the seasoning.

Pomegranate Raita Recipe step-by-step picture 

Take all of your ingredients
take a pomegranate
cut it open
bash the highest using a heavy spoon so the seeds fall off
collect it in a bowl
take yogurt in a bowl
whisk well so it’s smooth
now it’s well mixed up
add little salt and sugar
sprinkle in roasted cumin powder and chilli powder
add in chaat masala powder
some black salt
add somewhat
add in pomegranate seeds
add in chopped coriander leaves
