Rajma Paratha

Stuffed parathas are so versatile, since you do not have to fret about making side dishes for it. And in addition you may make the stuffing ahead of time and make the paratha every time you wish. I really like to have stuffed paratha with either pickles or raita.

This paratha is a spicy rajma stuffed one. I make rajma curry often, but that is the primary time i attempted stuffing that inside paratha and it was divine. So try it out and let me understand how it turned out for you.

 

Ingredients for Rajma Paratha Recipe

For Stuffing:
  • Rajma / Kidney Beans – 2 cups soaked
  • Onion – 1 small chopped finely
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
  • Green Chilli – 2 finely chopped
  • Oil – 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
  • Chilli Powder – 1 tsp (Optional)
  • Amchoor Powder / Dry Mango Powder – ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander Leaves – 3 tbsp finely chopped
For Dough :
  • Wheat flour / Atta – 2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

The best way to make Rajma Paratha

  1. Make a dough with wheat flour, salt and water. Knead well and permit it to rest for 30 mins.
  2. Now take soaked rajma in a pressure cooker, cover it with water and cook for six whistle and simmer the cooker for 15 mins. Turn off the stove and let the steam go all by itself. Open the cooker and drain the rajma. Mash it well.
  3. Now heat oil in a kadai. Add in onions, chillies and ginger garlic paste. Saute it for a min.
  4. Add in cooked mashed rajma and blend well. Add in garam masala powder, salt and amchoor powder. Mix well. 
  5. Add in coriander leaves and blend well. Once it comes together remove it to a bowl and let it cool down
  6. Now divide the dough and this rajma mix into equal portions. Tae one dough and flatten it barely, place rajma ball inside this and canopy all the edges. Roll it fastidiously and cook on hot tawa till the paratha is cooked on either side, drizzle oil while cooking paratha.
  7. Remove and serve.

take soaked rajma in a pressure cooker
cover with water
pressure cook it
cook till beans are soft
it ought to be completely cooked
Prepare your other ingredients
Saute onions, chillies and ginger garlic paste
saute for a min
add in mashed rajma
add in amchoor powder and garam masala powder
when it comes together as a ball
remove it and funky it
take your roti dough
divide rajma into equal balls
take a portion of roti dough
Place rajma in center
cover it up
once it’s folded over
flatten it barely
put over hot tawa
flip over and drizzle with oil, cook on other side too
