Knol Khol Sabzi is a straightforward on a regular basis dish made by adding Knol Khol cubes and its greens to a tempering of mustard seeds, asafoetida, onion and garlic. Spices like green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin coriander powder and garam masala are added to boost the taste of Knol Khol. The sabzi pairs well with phulka or naan. Knol Khol (Kohlrabi) : That is the star ingredient prociding a crisp and sweet flavour to the sabzi. The stem in addition to the leaves are used to make sabzi.
Spices: mustard seeds, turmeric powder, green chillies, red chilli powder, cumin-coriander powder and garam masala
Other ingredients : Oil, onion, garlic and asafoetida.

Wash Knol Khol and its leaves.

Peel Knol Khols and chop them into cubes.

Chop the leaves and keep aside.

Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add 1 tsp mustard seeds and ¼ tsp asafoetida. When the seeds start popping, add chopped onion, chopped garlic and chopped green chilly. Saute for few seconds.

Add Knol Khol cubes.

- 1 ½ tsp red chilli powder

- ½ tsp garam masala
- salt to taste
