Panna cotta is my absolute favourite desert. It is comparable to puddings, but quite a bit more silkier than them and just melt in your mouth. I actually have already made a layered cherry panna cotta recipe, and it was my fav, it looks pretty too.
Ingredients for Panna Cotta Recipe
For Panna Cotta:
- Cream – ½ cup ( I used Fresh Cream)
- Full Fat Milk – ½ cup
- Vanilla Extract – 1 tsp
- Sugar – 3 tbsp
- China Grass – 1 tsp ( If using gelatin use ½ tsp)
- Water – 3 tbsp
For Chocolate Sauce:
- Dark Chocolate – 100 grams
- Heavy Cream – 50 ml
- Milk – 50 ml
- Vanilla Essence – ½ tsp
- Honey – 1 tbsp
I at all times desired to post a basic vanilla panna cotta recipe. I made this using china grass so it could be listed under eggless. This panna cotta turned super creamy and so delicious..I had some leftover chocolate sauce from my churros, so i used those for this and the mixture is like heaven. Do you suspect i emptied two bowls of this at a time. It’s that good..

Tips on how to Make Panna Cotta Recipe
- Take china grass in a bowl and soak it with 3 tbsp of water.
- Pop the bowl into the microwave and warmth it for two to three mins till it’s melted or you’ll be able to melt it gently on stove top.
- Start by making panna cotta..Take cream, milk in a sauce pan and warmth it up..
- When you see small bubbles forming around the edges, take it off the warmth and add in vanilla and china grass mix. Mix well.
- Pour this into individual bowls and canopy it with a plastic wrap. refrigerate it overnight.
- The following day make the chocolate sauce, take cream, milk, honey and vanilla in a sauce pan, heat it up, once it reaches a boil, take it off
the warmth and add within the chopped chocolate. - Let it sit for 4 to five mins. Now mix it well so the chocolate is melted. Chocolate sauce done..
- When serving, ease the edges of the pudding, or simply dip the pudding bowl into hot water only for 30 sec.
- Invert the pudding into plate and serve with a pleasant drizzle of chocolate sauce.

Take china grass in a bowl |
add just a little water and soak it for five mins |
Now take them in a microwave protected bowl |
microwave it for two to three mins |
Now it’s all melted |
Take cream in a sauce pan |
add in milk |
sprinkle some sugar |
when you see small bubbles around the edges |
take it off the warmth and add a splash of excellent vanilla extract |
add within the china grass mix |
take your bowls, i like to recommend you to scrub it once before your pour the puddings in, because it make the puddings slide off easily |
Fill the bowls |
cover and chill overnight |
Now lets make the sauce…take cream in a sauce pan |
add in some milk |
some vanilla |
drizzle in some honey |
bring it to boil |
Take it off the warmth |
add in some dark chocolate |
let it sit for 4 to five mins |
Now the chocolate is all melted |
Now the pudding is all set |
you’ll be able to ease the edges just a little and invert it.. You may even dip the underside of the bowl in some hot water and invert it |
place it on a serving plate |
Drizzle it with chocolate sauce |
and a a lot of it |
