I made a two layered wealthy dark chocolate cake, layered it with chocolate mousse, spread the mousse throughout it, poured some chocolate sauce throughout it and topped it with numerous chocolate shavings…Heaven in a bite.

Ingredients for Wealthy Chocolate Mousse Cake

  • Unsalted Soft Butter – 225 Grams
  • All Purpose Flour / Maida – 2 cup / 240 grams
  • Sugar – 2 cup / 400 grams
  • Cocoa Powder – 4 tblspn (Use good quality)
  • Boiling Water – 1 cup / 240 ml
  • Salt – ¼ tsp
  • Baking Soda / Cooking Soda – 1 tsp
  • Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
  • Eggs – 2
  • Buttermilk – ½ cup / 120 ml
  • Chocolate Mousse (RECIPE HERE)
  • Chocolate Shavings as needed
  • Chocolate Syrup as needed ( I used store bought)

How you can Make Wealthy Chocolate Mousse Cake

  1. Take two 9 inch round baking pan, line the underside with parchment paper and coat it with oil on all sides. Put aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 180 Degree C.
  3. Take butter in a sauce pan, melt it down, add in cocoa powder and blend well. Add in boiling water and let it boil for few sec.
  4. Now take it off the warmth and put aside.
  5. Take eggs in a bowl, add in buttermilk, vanilla and baking soda. Mix well and Put aside.
  6. Take flour, salt, sugar in a big bowl. Mix well.
  7. Pour in the new cocoa mix and provides a mild mix.
  8. Add in egg mix and fold gently.
  9. Divide the batter between two cake pans and bake for 20 to 30 mins.
  10. Insert a toothpick to examine whether the cake is finished. If it comes clean then it’s baked.
  11. Remove the cake from oven and leave aside to chill a bit.
  12. Invert the cake, peel off the parchment and put aside to chill completely.
  13. When the cake is cooling, make the chocolate mousse.
  14. Now take one in every of the round pan, line it with plastic wrap, place a cake in it, spread the mousse over it, place one other cake over it, chill within the fridge for
    15 mins.
  15. Remove the cake rigorously. Spread the mousse all around the cake.
  16. Now take your chocolate sauce, pour it over the cake and top the cake with chocolate shavings.
  17. Chill the cake overnight. Serve.

Chocolate Mousse Cake Recipe Step by Step

Take your ingredients for the cake
Start by preparing the cake pan
I used a removable bottom pan..So i just greased it alone, When you are using a standard pan, just line the underside with parchment and grease it well.
Drizzle some oil in
grease it well and put aside.
Bring 1 cup of water to a superb boil
Take butter in a sauce pan
Melt it down
add in cocoa powder
give and good mix
Pour in the new water and let it bubble for 20 sec or so..
Take it off the warmth and put aside.
Take eggs in a bowl
add in vanilla
pour in some buttermilk

 

add in baking soda
mix well and put aside
Take flour in a bowl
add in sugar
add in salt
pour the chocolate mix in
pour in egg mix
fold gently
Pour into baking pans
Bake till done..Let the cakes cool a bit
Remove the cakes from the pan, let it cool completely
now take the identical removable base pan, if you happen to do not have that,
 just line the bottom of the pan with plastic wrap or foil
Place a cake in the underside..
Spoon generously the dark chocolate mousse
spread it out evenly
Now place the opposite cake over it….
Let it set for 15 mins in fridge
now remove them
Spoon the mousse excessive
spread it all around the cake
Then i took my readymade chocolate topping
poured it out in a cup
pour it over the cake
