Ingredients for Easy Banoffee Pie
For Base:
- 20 Biscuits ( i used milk bikis)
- 75 grams Butter melted
Filling:
- 1 cup Dulce de Leche ( Recipe here)
- 2 large Ripe Bananas peeled and sliced into rounds
- 2 tsp Lemon Juice or Orange Juice
- ¾ cup Cream ( I used amul 25% fresh cream)
- 1.5 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
For Topping:
- Chocolate bar for grating on top
Dulce de Leche :
Dulce de leche, also referred to as caramelised milk or milk jam in English, is a Latin American confection made by slowly heating sugar and milk for several hours.
Ripe Bananas :
Ripe bananas are yellow in color with brown or black spots on the surface. Bananas are sweeter and taste higher than unripe bananas. Because the bananas ripen, the resistant starch within the bananas converts to easy sugar.

- Take a 15 cm removable base pie pan. Slice bananas into thin rounds and spoon some lemon juice or orange juice and toss the bananas well.
- Melt butter in a sauce pan.
- Take biscuits in a blender and powder it finely. Spoon the powder right into a bowl. Add in melted butter and blend well.
- Spoon this into the pie pan, spread it evenly line the edges of the pan as well.
- Now spoon some dulce de leche in it and spread it.
- Now arrange the bananas over it and put aside.
- Now take cream in a bowl, add in sugar and vanilla and whip till soft peaks.
- Spoon this over the bananas and spread it evenly.
- Now chill this for few hours. I left it overnight. Remove it and grate some chocolate over it. Now unmould it and slice and serve.
