Moong Dal Khichdi

2)Take rice and dal in a bowl and wash it well. Now drain it and add into pressure cooker. Add in garlic, cumin seeds, asafoetida, salt, turmeric powder and asafoetida. Pour in water and canopy the cooker. Pressure cook this for five whistle and simmer it for five mins.

I feed khichdi every day when my daughters where little. I make them with rice and dal as shown above every day.   • Masoor Dal – ¼ cup
  • Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi – ½ tsp
  • Homemade ghee – 1 tsp
For Making Porridge:
  • Rice Dal Powder – 2 tblspn
  • Nuts Powder – 2 tsp
  • Water – ¾ cup
  • Salt to taste (optional)
  • Homemade Ghee – 1 tsp

How you can Make Easy Khichdi Mix

1)take all of your ingredients. Wash rice and dal in a number of water till it is totally cleaned. Drain it and dry it.

2)Heat ghee in a thick bottom kadai. Add within the washed rice and dal and roast them on a medium heat till it’s golden. It would take around 20 to 25 mins. Now remove them to a plate and let it cool.
