Ingredients for Yellow Pongal Recipe (Manjal Pongal Recipe)
- Rice – 1 cup (You should utilize Raw Rice / Pacharisi too)
- Yellow Moong Dal / Pasi Paruppu – ½ cup
- Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 2 tsp
- Black Pepper – 2 tsp Crushed
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi -1 tsp
- Water – 5 cup
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
Make Yellow Pongal Recipe (Manjal Pongal Recipe)
- Take rice and dal in a bowl and wash well.
- Take all the things in a pressure cooker, except ghee. Mix well and pressure cook for 4 whistle.
- Simmer the flame and cook for 10 mins. Turn off the warmth and let the steam escape all by itself.
- Now open the cooker and add ghee. Mix well.
- Serve.
